It's Spring 2017!  What's been happening?

Hello from a wonderful sunny day in Nashville, TN!  I wanted to welcome you to the place where I will keep you updated about new happenings in my world of music.  At the moment I'm home for the next two weeks in this lovely, green, warm, breezy, blossom-y situation that is Nashville at this time of year, and I'm gearing up for a couple of long tours coming up.

First of all, in September last year I had the absolute pleasure to play and sing on Jayme Stone's latest album as part of his Folklife Project.  The album has been released as of about three days ago, and I'm very proud to have been a part of it.  It's a beautiful collection of songs and tunes from the various archives of old folk music.  We're touring the album a lot in the next couple of months so keep a lookout here for tour dates!  And the record is available here.

Additionally, I'm very excited to be spending a few weeks out in my other home, the Bay Area in California, playing a few house concert and contradance gigs with my dear friend Adrianna Ciccone this coming May and June.  I'll also be putting on my "Viola Hat" (almost didn't know I had one, and then I realized it's built-in, as a 5-string player...!) and playing viola with the Real Vocal String Quartet for a benefit concert at the Freight and Salvage, a great venue in Berkeley, CA in May!

Lastly, a little sneak-peak into my mind for the next few months:  I'm starting to write music/tunes/possibly even songs for a solo record I have swimming around in the back of my brain.  So more on that soon, but for now, enjoy the springtime, always play music, and keep in touch!
